Daily Itinerary

Day 1: 24 February

Johannesburg to Cape Town

Today you will be transferred to the OR Tambo International Airport in time for your flight to Cape Town International Airport. You will be met at the Cape Town Airport by your tourist guide and will make your way to your Guesthouse for the next few nights at one of our favourite Guesthouses in the Cape. The rest of the day at leisure until dinner

Day 2: 25 February

Cape Point & Peninsula Tour: Private Full Day

Today we embark on a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Take in the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay.
From here we drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, where we will board a funicular to get to the top of the Peninsula to witness the symbolic meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and enjoy spectacular views over False Bay. After lunch, continue to Simonstown, the naval base, and visit the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach.  Then stop at the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Gardens before arriving back at your Guesthouse.

Day 3: 26 February

Cape town city: Half Day

Your tour will take in the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (built between 1666 and 1679, this is South Africa’s oldest building), the lively Greenmarket Square with its daily market, the Company Gardens.

Weather permitting we will take the cable car up Table Mountain, which will give you spectacular views over the city and the Peninsula (the cable car fee is NOT included as it is weather dependent).

From here we make our way to the Waterfront where you have the rest of the afternoon free to explore at the V & A Wharf in Cape Town. We will meet up later for dinner at one of the restaurants on the V & A Waterfront.

Day 4: February 27

Winelands

This delightful drive winds its way to the heart of the Cape Winelands, through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads.  We enjoy some wine tasting at a few wine farms in Stellenbosch. Lunch at one of the farms. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon. Dinner at one of the local restaurants.
