For this trip, we stay outside the Park, 5 kilometers from the gate at Twee Rivieren. For the 4 nights at Kgalagadi Lodge, we will do day trips into the Park with brunch or lunch at picnic spots in the Park in an air-conditioned vehicle. Meals will be prepared by your host or enjoyed at the restaurant.

The 3.7 million hectare Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is one of the world’s largest conservation areas and is a sanctuary to herds of gemsbok, springbok, blue wildebeest, eland, red hartebeest, as well as the black-mane Kalahari lions, leopard, and cheetah..

Day 1: Sunday 21 April 2024

We depart early morning from Johannesburg. On route to Kuruman, we travel through Ventersdorp and Vryburg, lunch on route. We will stay overnight at Red Sands outside Kuruman.  Dinner at the Red Sands restaurant

Day 2: Monday 22 April 2024

After breakfast, we continue the journey toward Kgalagadi Park. The route is via Olifantshoek towards Upington where we will have lunch.  We then drive in a northerly direction towards the town of Askham. It is a slow drive, and around every corner, you will see more dune landscapes. We arrive at the Kgalagadi Lodge (5km from the gate) and check into the well-appointed chalets for 4 nights. We relax for the remainder of the afternoon before dinner is enjoyed at the Restaurant.

Day 3/4/5 : Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday 23/24/25 April 2024

We will alternate our days with drives into the Kgalagadi, having breakfast either at Kgalagadi Lodge or at a picnic spot. Taking different routes depending on the sightings board at Twee Rivieren. Returning to the Kgalagadi Lodge for dinner either prepared by your host or at the restaurant.

Day 6: Friday 26 April 2024

Enjoy breakfast and depart for our last night on tour. Lunch on route. Overnight and dinner in Vryburg.

Day 7: Saturday 27 April 2024

Depart after breakfast travelling back to Johannesburg. Lunch on route. Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon.
