We visit the northern region of Kruger Park with riverine forest along the Luvuvhu river, Dense Mopane woodlands, Sandveld areas, lots of Baobab trees, Fever Tree Forest. The area also has some animals that is not normally seen further south like Roan, Eland and a few others.  

Day 1

As it is a long day ahead of us, we depart early morning from Johannesburg to avoid most of the peak hour traffic. We will enjoy a brunch on the way to Kruger Park. We will travel north and enter at Phalaborwa Gate. Game viewing until we reach Mopani camp, where we will check in for the first 2 night’s stay. Relax in the camp until it is time for dinner.  Dinners for the whole trip will either be prepared by your host or enjoyed at the camp restaurant.

Day 2

We will do various drives from the camp, enjoying breakfasts and lunches at either picnic spots, or at some of the surrounding camp’s restaurants. Enjoy coffee and rusks before departing on the game viewing for the day. The days are set out to explore the area but also to relax and enjoy our camp. 

Day 3

Early morning wake up with coffee and rusks. Pack up and drive to Punda Maria. Breakfast at Shingwedi camp. ON arrival at Punda Maria we check in, unpack and explore the camp. Returning to camp to rest and then enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Dinner in camp

Day 4

Today we explore the areas around Punda Maria with time to relax. Dinner in camp

Day 5

Early wake up call with coffee and rusks before we start our safari up to Crooke’s corner. Enjoy breakfast at Crooke’s Corner, visit the Fever Tree Forest and return to Camp in the afternoon. Relax and enjoy dinner

Day 6

End of our time in Kruger. We pack up and depart after breakfast for our return to Johannesburg. Arrival in Johannesburg will be late afternoon
