Day 1: Tambuti Lodge, Pilanesberg (06 February)
- On Arrival at the Lodge you will be checked in, given a short orientation and taken to your rooms where you can unpack and relax before high tea around 15h00.
- After high tea it is time for your first open vehicle game drive.
- Enjoy sundowners somewhere in the bush with snacks and returning to the Lodge around 19h00 for dinner
- After dinner relax around the fire or in your rooms
Overnight: Tambuti Lodge
Set in the north western side of the greater Pilanesberg National Park, this malaria free Big Five private game lodge is surrounded by the trees of an old Tambuti forest within the Black Rhino Game Reserve.
Tambuti Lodge consists of five luxury chalets all fitted with contemporary elegance and quality furnishings. Surrounded by striking Tambuti Trees, all the suites offer bush views and privacy, each air-conditioned with en-suite bathroom equipped with twin hand basins, bath, indoor and showers, separate toilet, complete with a private deck.
Game Drives
View Africa’s most impressive wildlife on morning and afternoon/ evening game drives in an open 4-wheel drive safari vehicle with our expert guide. The Pilanesberg is situated in the transition zone between the Kalahari and Lowveld, making it exceptional for spotting all kinds of wildlife. The ecology of the national park is unlike any other in the country, and almost every animal native to South Africa is found here.
Day 2: Tambuti Lodge, Pilanesberg (07 February)
- Enjoy coffee and rusks before you depart on your open vehicle safari.
- You will stop for coffee and muffins on your game drive before you return to the Lodge around 09h00
- Enjoy breakfast before you can go and relax in your room, around the pool or our lounge until lunch time.
- After lunch you have some more time to relax before high tea and your evening open vehicle game drive. You will stop again for sundowners in the bush, enjoying a drink and snacks and watching the sun set over the African bush.
- Returning to the Lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Tambuti Lodge, Pilanesberg (08 February)
- Very early wake up call, enjoy coffee and rusks before you depart on your morning open vehicle safari. You will stop for coffee and muffins on your game drive before you return to the Lodge around 19h00.
- Enjoy breakfast before you can go and relax in your room, around the pool or our lounge until lunch time.
- After lunch have some more time to relax before high tea and your evening open vehicle game drive. You will stop again for sundowners in the bush, enjoying a drink and snacks and watching the sun set over the African bush.
- Returning to the Lodge around 19h00 for dinner.
Day 4: End of Itinerary (09 February)
- Very early wake up call, enjoy coffee and rusks before you depart on your last morning open vehicle safari. You will stop for coffee and muffins on your game drive before you return to the Lodge around 09h00.
- Check out and return to Johannesburg.
